Pet care booking platform

A pet care booking platform for iOS and Android, live on both stores. Pet parents book grooming, vet visits and sitters in a few taps, with reminders and in-app payments. Context

Pet owners juggle several providers: a groomer, a vet, someone to look after the animal while they travel. Each one has its own way to book and pay. The platform puts those bookings in one consumer app, so a pet parent can find a slot, pay and get reminded without a phone call.

The challenge

A consumer booking app lives or dies on friction. Sign-up has to take seconds, booking has to take a few taps and payment has to happen inside the app. It also has to pass review and ship on both the Play Store and the App Store, which is its own discipline. Architecture decisions

Social login keeps sign-up short, which matters more in a consumer app than almost anywhere else. In-app payments keep the whole booking inside one flow instead of handing the user off to a browser.
